This was me.

I jumped in and plugged along. I studied the leaders in various niches trying to apply what they taught. I allowed myself to be pulled by whatever the latest new technique was. Drifting here and there, but never feeling like I was getting anywhere. One month would bring an abundance of clients while the next was drier than the Sahara desert.

I wanted something different.

I wanted to feel like a Clear & Competent CEO. I wanted consistent and predictable income. And I wanted to know what the next right action should be.

I wanted to optimize my life, for real.

I wanted to get up in the morning, get my son ready for school and then work until he came home. Help him with his homework, make dinner, and enjoy family time, a date night, a girl's night out, or just have a guilt-free night off.

After all, I asked myself, isn’t that WHY you started your business in the first place? To be in charge of the schedule? To have the freedom to be available for friends, family, and fun? To scale (or not) as necessary to meet the changing demands of life?

Most importantly, to have the ability to choose how life was lived? To design and live an intentional life.

And because I also have health issues, the need for the flexibility of self-employment is critically important. Maybe it is for you, too.

Okay, no it didn’t…. but what did happen was that I figured out the missing ingredient, the Magic Key,… and that it had been in front of me all along.

The best part is, that Magic Key is the same for everyone regardless of what kind of business you have AND even if you have no business yet AND even if you never want to own a business, you just want to live a more intentional life.

Yes. It’s true. There IS a Magic Key. And you already have it in your tool kit. What most people don’t know is that they just need a little help finding the key and figuring out which lock it fits into.

What was that “Magic Key”?

Identification of and Alignment to your Core Values.

You see, whether you’ve identified them or not, you have a personal set of values. These are the principles by which you live your life. Your values guide every decision you make - and if they aren’t guiding your decisions, they should be.

If you have chaos in your life and your business it’s most likely for one of these reasons: 

• you haven’t identified your values 

• you identified your values, but don’t know how to utilize them to make decisions

• the decisions you make are in direct contrast to your values 

The good news is, it isn’t difficult to fix.

It is actually quite easy. That doesn’t mean it won’t take work, but once you know how to identify and align to your values and then how to make decisions for your life and your business from that place of alignment, the tumblers in that lock start to fall into place. And then, it really does feel like the heavens opened with a choir of singing angels.
